What is the difference between Vision Insurance and Medical Insurance?

Medical insurance is the same insurance you utilize with your primary care physician. When you have a medical eye related complaint such as blurry vision, red eye, loss of vision and many others, your visit is billed to your medical insurance. Vision insurance is often provided alongside medical insurance and typically covers a general eye exam for those without any medical conditions, and may have a partial allowance towards glasses and/or contact lenses. ​​​​​​​
